This component is used by the TDx9_3DSurface::GetDesc(), TDx9_3DTexture::GetLevelDesc and TDx9_3DCubeTexture::GetLevelDesc() methods when retrieving surface properties. It is also used by the DXUTGetBackBufferSurfaceDesc function and the LPDXUTCALLBACKDEVICECREATED and LPDXUTCALLBACKDEVICERESET callback functions of the sample framework reference.
