    no direct input when playing direct sound

    Hi,

    I have a small application with dx input via joystick and
    a button for playing dx sound-samples.
    (BCB5/XP/Win-App & joystick triggers win32 events).
    Now, whenever I start playing a sound, I can't get any
    input from the stick.
    Dx Input is ok before and after I play the sound.
    Changes in the cooperative level didn't get me any further.

    Any ideas appreciated.
