    DEVICE INSTANCES AND OBJECTS

    A device instance represents a complete device. A single physical device may have multiple device instances. (a keyboard with a built in mouse for example)

    A device object or device object instance represents a single control on a device, such as a single mouse button or the Y axis of a joystick.
