    FRAME BUFFER

    [ TDx_Draw_Library ]     [ next: GDI ]     [ prev: FourCC Codes ]

The frame buffer is a block of contiguous memory used to store image data to be sent to the screen. This block is generally interpreted as being video memory, even if it exists in system memory and can be used to display larger and/or higher resolution images than would be possible just using the conventional video memory.
