    BOB TECHNIQUE

    [ TDx_Draw_Library ]     [ next: Bump Map ]     [ prev: Blit ]

Sometimes problems arise due to the seperate fields of a video signal becoming unsynchronised. This can be dealt with by discarding one of the fields, which degrades the image quality, or displaying them separately, stretching each field by a factor of two. The latter solution will probably cause jittering. The bob technique eliminates this by jittering the source rectangle such that it cancels out the jitter in the destination rectangle.
